A Weekend Retreat for 6-12 grade
Today, many Jesus loving, Bible quoting, youth group going students head to a strange new land called their “College years” (a land without parents, where students can do whatever they want) and they trade in the things of God for the things of the World. In the Old Testament, Daniel was in the same situation. He was in a strange new land without parents yet, he Resolved to continue to walk with the Lord. During our Resolve Weekend Retreat students will discover what Daniel did to be faithful in a foreign land. The aim for this event is that it will give students a goal, plan, and desire to live for God throughout junior high, high school and college.
Sessions will explores Daniel 1:1-8:
- Session 1: RESOLVE to honor God
- Session 2: RESOLVE to be connected to others
- Session 3: RESOLVE to make God’s Word your standard
Retreat Details:
- Bring $10, a signed permission slip & Shakalaka waiver must be turned in by Wednesday, April 20th. ($3 late fee after and subject to availability to go to Shakalaka)
- Door Prizes and A Trip to Shakalaka **ONLY** for those who attend the WHOLE retreat.
- Friday Night Pizza, Saturday Breakfast and Lunch provided.
- Students will need to bring sleeping bags (or sheets), pillows, and stuff to get ready with.
